ClassX Broadcast Meeting 2026

The official page to summarize this great ClassX event 2026.

The report of the event to describe it both for those who participated and for those who unfortunately were unable to participate. Just a collection of videos and pictures to show the magnificence of Elitium and the LiveBoard news.

THE SCENE AND THE ECOSYSTEM

The ClassX Broadcast Meeting 2026 (CBM26) opened with a presentation of the production workflow, which included an Elitium® system and a workstation running MixBoard® for content playout and live production.

The stage was divided into two main production areas: one dedicated to augmented reality, and another set up as a green screen area for virtual production.

For the augmented reality setup, the system featured several camera sources and tracking solutions. These included a Canon C400 camera equipped with a Canon CN 7x17 lens, mounted on a Cartoni e-JibO crane fitted with a Jib Encoder. By integrating both jib encoder data and lens data, the Miraxyz RigFX system was able to deliver precise real-time tracking of the combined movements of the crane and camera, ensuring reliable alignment within the augmented reality workflow.. The AR setup also included a Canon N500 PTZ camera and a TellyCam PTZ camera.

For the green screen shooting area, a Sony PTZ BRC-H800 camera was used.

Some camera switching and graphic automation were managed through an external laptop running CuePilot software. The same laptop was also used to play out speaker-related infographics during the event.

All video sources, graphics, and automation outputs were routed into MixBoard®, which handled the final live production output. The resulting program feed was displayed on three television screens.

FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE

After the event workflow had been explained, it was time for the first live performance. An actor and singer performed the iconic "Il Tempo delle Cattedrali" from the musical Notre Dame de Paris.

During the performance, CuePilot managed the camera changes and triggered the augmented reality graphics played out by Elitium®.

A special detail also caught the audience's attention: the hunchback on the tower. But how did he get there?

SECOND LIVE PERFORMANCE

The second live performance featured two dancers performing together. At one point, one of them moved away from the main stage and entered the green screen area.

Although they were no longer physically in the same space, the two dancers continued to perform together from a different perspective, made possible by the use of the green screen.

Of course, in this performance as well, the graphics played out by Elitium® played an important role. The overall result looked so realistic that it was difficult to distinguish what was real from what was not.

OUR EVENT PARTNERS

Between one production and the next, and before the lunch break featuring excellent Tuscan cuisine, dedicated moments were also reserved for our partners, whose equipment contributed to the success of the event.

Representatives from Canon and Cartoni were present to introduce their latest products and technologies to the audience. They were also available throughout the event to provide further information and answer questions from anyone interested in learning more about their solutions and recent innovations.

THE “CUBANO” AND THE ELITIUM® SNAP!

Two major innovations immediately won over the audience: Cubano and Elitium® SNAP!.

Cubano made its entrance “dancing” and quickly captured everyone’s attention. Developed in collaboration with Miraxyz, Cubano is a new product with the plugin “CalibFx LineUp” designed to configure tracked cameras within a scene in just a few minutes, even when the cameras have been moved for any reason.

It is a dream solution for any broadcaster who, due to production or stage requirements, often needs to reposition cameras in a studio using tracked graphics for AR, VR, or XR workflows.

Elitium® SNAP!, on the other hand, brings portability and flexibility to AR-VR-XR production. It is designed for anyone who needs a portable setup that can be easily transported, even by car, and used in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The setup is simple: all you need is a portable workstation, a camera, and the Elitium® Tracker device mounted on the camera.

MIXBOARD®

The afternoon session was dedicated to MixBoard®.

The demo of the new software-defined mixer once again captured the audience's attention, highlighting how production workflows are becoming increasingly flexible, scalable, and less dependent on traditional hardware-based infrastructures. MixBoard showed how a modern live production environment can be managed with a more agile approach, while still delivering the reliability and control expected in professional broadcast operations.

Adcom presented the evolution of live production over the SMPTE ST 2110 protocol, supported by the new Blackmagic solutions. For the occasion, MixBoard® was showcased with a full ST 2110 playout workflow, demonstrating its ability to operate in next-generation IP-based broadcast environments.
